Job description

SWBC is seeking a talented individual to design, develop, integrate, and support enterprise mortgage technology solutions, with emphasis on ICE Encompass LOS, SQL/data development, APIs, workflow automation, reporting, and secure business applications. The role exists to provide senior-level technical expertise for complex mortgage systems, production support, vendor integrations, and technology modernization efforts that support business operations and compliance-focused execution.

Essential duties include the following:
  • Develop, enhance, and support mortgage technology solutions, with primary focus on ICE Encompass LOS and related mortgage systems.
  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server/T-SQL objects including stored procedures, functions, views, ETL processes, and operational reporting solutions.
  • Design, build, and support API-driven integrations and workflow automations across mortgage, document, servicing, vendor, and enterprise platforms.
  • Develop and maintain secure, scalable business applications using modern software development practices, object-oriented design, REST APIs, JSON/XML, and .NET/C# technologies.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root-cause analysis, tune system/database performance, and coordinate timely resolution across internal teams and third-party providers.
  • Support DevOps, source control, CI/CD, cloud, monitoring, operational support, and infrastructure-as-code practices for mortgage technology applications.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions; document design, testing, deployment, and support procedures.
  • Identify and implement automation and emerging technology opportunities, including practical use of AI-assisted development tools to improve efficiency, quality, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information System, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university required.
  • Certified Application Developer preferred.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience to include designing and building applications.
  • Experience with mortgage origination systems, preferably ICE Encompass LOS.
  • Experience with Encompass APIs, Developer Connect, Data Connect, Partner Connect, and third-party mortgage technology integrations preferred.
  • Understanding of mortgage origination, servicing, document management, and vendor ecosystems.
  • Advanced Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL development skills.
  • Experience developing stored procedures, functions, views, ETL processes, and enterprise reporting solutions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues, optimize queries, and support operational reporting.
  • Understanding of database design, data modeling, and data governance principles.
  • Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and modern software development practices.
  • Hands-on experience with; C#, .NET / .NET Core, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, REST APIs, JSON/XML Experience developing and supporting secure, maintainable business applications.
  • Angular, React, and cloud platform experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps principles, GitHub Enterprise, CI/CD pipelines, AWS cloud services, Infrastructure as Code (CDK with Python), containerization, monitoring, and operational support practices.
  • Experience designing and supporting system integrations and workflow automation solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across multiple systems and platforms.
  • Experience integrating mortgage, servicing, document, or vendor platforms preferred.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies to improve development efficiency, code quality, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Experience identifying and implementing automation opportunities that streamline business processes, enhance reporting, and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled solutions, API-driven automation, and emerging technologies that support business and technology objectives.
