About the role
Help shape how data drives the business
We are expanding our Data & Analytics function within Group Information Services (GIS) and are looking for a Senior Data Consultant to establish and grow our presence in North America.
You will join a global team based across the UK and Germany, acting as the key interface between business demand and data delivery in North America. The role works closely with Technology Sourcing (GTS), supporting a fast-paced, customer-focused organization that delivers IT solutions and services at scale.
This is a front-door role into Data & Analytics. You will shape demand, influence priorities, and ensure data initiatives are aligned to business outcomes.
You will support a commercial, B2B technology services organization, working with:
  • Strategic Directors
  • Engagement Leads
  • Commercial and operational stakeholders

The environment is:
  • Fast-paced and demand-driven
  • Multi-vendor and multi-service
  • Focused on delivering outcomes for customers at scale

Data demand is often complex, fragmented and evolving. A key part of the role is bringing structure, clarity and consistency to how demand is defined and delivered.
What you'll be doing
  • Shape data demand at source
Lead the definition of complex business and data requirements, working with GTS North America stakeholders to shape clear, outcome-driven demand
  • Translate strategy into delivery
Turn business needs into clear, prioritized user stories and backlog items for delivery teams
  • Drive prioritization and alignment
Guide backlog priorities, balancing near-term needs with long-term strategic goals
  • Lead refinement and delivery readiness
Lead backlog refinement sessions to ensure user stories are clear, actionable and aligned to measurable outcomes
  • Connect data to business outcomes
Map business processes and identify where data can improve efficiency, performance and decision-making
  • Bring structure to a growing region
Help establish consistent ways of working across North America while aligning with global standards
  • Embed data governance and best practice
Ensure documentation is clear, consistent and traceable, supporting governance, transparency and effective delivery across the lifecycle
  • Manage risk across demand and delivery
Identify and manage risks across the data demand pipeline, ensuring issues are surfaced early and managed effectively with stakeholders
  • Support and influence across teams
Work closely with Engagement Leads, Strategic Directors and GIS teams to align demand and delivery
  • Mentor and develop others
Support Data Consultants and help raise the overall capability of the function

What you have
  • Strong experience in business analysis or data consulting, working with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to translate complex business problems into clear, prioritized requirements and user stories
  • Proven ability to lead through influence and drive consensus across competing priorities
  • Experience working in a B2B, customer-facing or sales-led environment
  • Comfortable engaging across:
    • Commercial teams
    • Operational stakeholders
    • Technical delivery teams
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Data governance
    • Data quality
    • Data management principles
  • Experience working with:
    • Multiple data sources
    • Competing and evolving demand
    • Structured delivery frameworks (for example ITOM or ITIL)
  • Confident communicator, able to influence, challenge and drive alignment
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • You will operate at the front of demand, not just within delivery
  • You will work across a global team and a growing regional business
  • You will directly support how Computacenter scales its data and AI capabilities
  • Ensure data initiatives are aligned to business strategy and deliver measurable outcomes
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across GTS North America
  • Bring structure and consistency to a rapidly evolving data landscape
  • Help enable data-driven decision making at scale
