Job description

Job Summary (List Format):
- Architect and optimize PeopleSoft data ingestion, structuring, and exposure within an Azure-based enterprise analytics platform.
- Design and improve data flows for PeopleSoft data to support analytics, reporting, and ad-hoc extraction needs.
- Create clean, reusable datasets for enterprise reporting, especially for Power BI, audits, grants, contracts, and leadership requests.
- Support bulk data pulls and PeopleSoft-style reporting capabilities post-migration.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to align data models and solutions with business requirements.
- Advise on and support the exposure of PeopleSoft data to Power BI, including guidance on DirectQuery vs Import models.
- Improve Power BI report performance by optimizing upstream data structures (not responsible for dashboard development).
- Work with Azure analytics stack: Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, and Synapse Analytics.
- Utilize strong SQL skills for data modeling and reporting access.
- Target candidates should have experience as a Data Architect, Analytics Engineer, Senior Data Engineer, Data Solutions Engineer, or Senior Data Analyst (platform-heavy).
- This role is not a DBA position nor a Power BI dashboard-building role.
