Description
The City is seeking candidates for two brand new Asset and Data Manager positions, one assigned to Public Works and one assigned to Environmental Services. These positions will help lead each department's asset management, data systems, GIS-related business needs, and reporting.
For Public Works, this position will be an important part of our modernization effort. The selected candidate will help build and lead the department's asset and data team, establish how the team works going forward, and set the standard for how Public Works manages and uses asset, operational, and GIS-related data. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to help shape a new function within the department and make a lasting impact on how Public Works uses systems and data to support better service delivery.
For Environmental Services, this position will lead the department's asset management, data analysis, and GIS team. The selected candidate will work across the department to optimize software systems and provide high-quality data analysis and visualization solutions in the wastewater collection system, solid waste, and stormwater quality work groups. The position will be able to shape the future of technology solutions in Environmental Services and guide a team of talented professionals.

Qualifications and Requirements
Experience, Education, and Training
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Public Administration, Data Analytics, or a closely related field;
AND
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in GIS, asset management systems, business systems administration, database or data platform administration, infrastructure data analysis, or closely related work;
OR
  • Master's Degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of required experience;
PREFERRED
  • Experience with enterprise GIS software, asset management systems, dashboards, systems integration, data governance, and vendor-supported business applications;
  • Experience with systems such as ESRI products, Infor, FIIX, Citian, project management software, or similar platforms;
  • Experience evaluating or supporting automation, advanced analytics, or artificial intelligence-enabled business tools.

Licensing/Certification
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification issued by the Project Management Institute preferred.
