Overview
As a Senior Data Architect, you will be responsible for our business-critical systems (on-prem and cloud). This highly visible role will have you working closely with other disciplines including program managers, project managers, business groups, and IT support teams. You will need an excellent combination of relevant technical knowledge, cross-group collaboration skills, communication and negotiation skills, relationship-building skills, and planning skills. You will also need a sense of urgency to get things done efficiently, working both independently and as part of a team. You understand the need for implementing and following processes to support enterprise systems.

Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
  • Design and develop data integration strategies and solutions for complex projects or business issues
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to plan and develop solutions to support a continually evolving construction organization
  • Work with stakeholders at different levels in the organization
  • Manage and automate data flow
  • Organize data and optimize data retrieval
  • Determine requirements for data design
  • Create roles and procedures to ensure data integrity and security
  • Develop and maintain data warehouse
  • Operate and optimize: ensure customer satisfaction by providing highly-available, performant systems
  • As subject matter expert, ensure project teams follow data architecture standards
  • Develop ETL processes with Azure Data Factory and similar tools
  • Oversee a team of 2-4 employees
  • Manage staffing, including recruitment, communication of job expectations, supervision, employee development, evaluation and disciplinary actions
  • Conduct employee reviews annually or as needed and recognize and celebrate staff contributions
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in computer science or computer/management information systems
    7-10 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the Company's Zero Injury principles
  • Extensive experience maintaining and supporting production systems and infrastructure
  • Highly skilled at SQL administration and database design
  • Experience with SharePoint and Power Apps suite, especially Power BI
