Job Title: Data Analyst
Clearance Required: Secret - U.S. Citizenship Required
Work Location: Onsite - Millington, TN
Alpha Omega is searching for an experienced Data Analyst to join one of our long-term Federal projects.
Identifies and collects data sources, analyzes and extracts key data and information, evaluates and monitors data quality to meet the organization's information system needs and requirements. Applies specific functional knowledge, working/general industry knowledge. Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance. Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of directly related experience or Master's degree and 0-3+ years directly related experience. Years of experience may be accepted in lieu of degree for certain roles. Certifications may be accepted in lieu of a degree for certain technical roles.
As data analyst, you love diving into data and turning it into meaningful insights. With the abundance of structured and unstructured data, you understand the importance of transforming complex data sets into useful information to solve challenges. As a data analyst, you can use your skills and experience to support a mission and use data for good. As a client-facing data analyst on our Navy Supply Chain Operations team, you'll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle.
Key Responsibilities:
  • 5+ years of experience in a professional work environment
  • Experience presenting data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders, using your knowledge of databases, and scripting languages
  • Experience preparing customer data for models, including merging and aggregating data, handling anomalies, balancing, and feature selection
  • Experience establishing quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes
  • Experience applying data visualization through different formats, such as graphs, tables, and PowerPoint slides
  • Ability to research, develop, and test data methodologies
  • Ability to support client and stakeholder relationships, conceptualize directions, analyze trends, and develop justifications for Navy leadership decisions
  • Ability to contribute to impactful work and guide decision-making by applying communications, validation, and research skills to simplify technical requirements and trends for varied audiences
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Required Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Experience/Skills:
  • Experience collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data
  • Knowledge of building and maintaining workflows, visualizations, and other Premium Microsoft Services databases primarily in the Microsoft enclaves and ADVANA, Jupiter, or BOLT enclave as required, including Databricks, Qlik, and Tableau
  • Secret Clearance

Salary and Benefit Information:
The likely salary range for this position is $65,000- $71,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
