Job description

AMERICAN INDUSTRIAL SYSTEMS, INC. seeks one full-time Data Analyst to work at its office in Irvine, CA. Candidate must have at least a Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, or Industrial Engineering, along with 3 months of prior Business Analyst or Data Scientist experience.

Domestic travel required to Georgia and Tennessee, 1–2 times per year, to visit the office and warehouse for a global project, with each trip lasting 5–7 days. International travel required to Taiwan, 1–2 times per year, to attend board meetings, with each trip lasting 6–10 days. Candidate duties will include: Automate reports by integrating data from internal and third-party systems using statistical programming and analytical tools.

Conduct quantitative analysis of cost and operational data, including regression and variance analysis, to identify trends and areas for improvement. Develop dashboards and data visualizations using business intelligence tools to support decision-making and communicate statistical findings. Apply statistical and machine learning models to support forecasting, hypothesis testing, and behavioral analysis.

Clean, transform, and standardize datasets for accurate and consistent statistical analysis. Design and evaluate experiments for operational and business problem-solving across departments, ensuring proper sampling methods. Optimize scheduling and performance metrics through predictive modeling techniques, providing quantitative insights for process improvement.

Candidate must have at least 3 months of work experience using Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and SAP, as well as at least 3 months of work experience in applying statistical models to forecast customer behavior and business performance trends, and in designing and implementing statistical reporting processes to support strategic decision-making.
