JOB SUMMARY:

The Data Analyst interprets data and turns it into information which can offer ways to improve our business thus affecting business decisions. The Data Analyst will gather data from various sources and interpret patters and trends. Once data has been gathered and interpreted, the Data Analyst will report back what has been found in a comprehensive study to the department of Quality. This position requires an advanced understanding of and experience maintaining, extracting, and manipulating data from different databases including, but not limited to SQL, Access, and SAP. This position will work with Senior Management to provide and maintain data, scorecards, dashboards and presentations as needed. The Data Analyst will need to understand and convert raw data into a concise and presentable form, most often Microsoft PowerPoint, which is most suitable for the audience at hand. The information presented in the reports will serve as reference for the management of the company on how to improve operations. Since this is a highly technical opportunity, the position requires a high level of accuracy and precision, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for the creating presentations for Senior Management to reflect performance and financial data
  • Responsible for the collection and interpretation of data received; analyzing results and reporting the results to the department director/leadership team
  • Identify patterns and trends in data sets
  • Define new data collection and analysis processes
  • Work alongside teams within the business or the management team to establish business needs
  • Responsible for researching and validating data in multiple data sources
  • Works closely with other department teams to understand data being reported on and presented
  • Any other tasks and/or duties assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in area of Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics or Economics

  • Experience in data models and reporting packages
  • Ability to analyze large datasets
  • Ability to write comprehensive reports
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Create and maintain a positive working environment and relationship with both internal and external customers.
  • Possess performance management skills and follow HR processes.
