Position Description
The Institutional Research Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting and reporting institutional data to support college planning and decision making, accreditation, and assessment. This position will focus on the analysis of JCC's Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Higher Education Administration, Social Sciences, Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Two years of professional experience in institutional research, data analysis, assessment, program evaluation, higher education, or a related analytical field. Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and database management, including experience with SQL or other data query tools. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing deadlines, and work independently.
Preferred: Master's degree. Experience using data visualization and reporting tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar software. Experience using statistical software, such as SPSS, SAS, R, or Python. Experience with Ellucian Banner. Experience conducting labor market analyses and workforce data reporting. Knowledge of CTE programs and Perkins reporting.
