Job description

The primary accountabilities below are intended to describe the general content and requirements of this position and are not intended to be an exhaustive statement of duties.  

Job Summary

To lead the development and management of enterprise data solutions that support Facilities Management operations and decision-making. To collaborate with stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable data architecture, analytics, and business intelligence solutions. To serve as the technical expert for enterprise data management by ensuring data integrity, system integration, and continuous improvement through industry best practices.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS TO INCLUDE:

  • Designs and develops enterprise data solutions, data models, and database structures that support Facilities operational and strategic initiatives while ensuring scalability, reliability, and data integrity.
  • Develops and maintains automated data integration processes, ETL/ELT pipelines, and interfaces that consolidate information from multiple enterprise and operational systems, including work management, building automation, geographic information, energy management, and space management platforms.
  • Analyzes and optimizes data quality, performance, governance, and security by implementing standards, validating data integrity, troubleshooting issues, and recommending process improvements.
  • Creates and maintains dashboards, reports, and business intelligence solutions that provide actionable insights to support operational planning, asset management, regulatory compliance, and executive decision-making.
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate business processes, and translate operational needs into technical data solutions that improve efficiency and organizational effectiveness.
  • Researches, evaluates, and implements emerging technologies, tools, and best practices related to data engineering, analytics, automation, cloud platforms, and enterprise data management to enhance operational capabilities.
  • Documents and maintains technical specifications, system architecture, data definitions, integration processes, and operational procedures to support knowledge transfer, system sustainability, and compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Expertise in enterprise database design, data modeling, data warehousing, and relational database management systems  
  • Proficiency with ETL/ELT processes, data integration, APIs, enterprise interfaces, and cloud-based data platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify data quality issues, optimize performance, and implement effective solutions  
  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, and business intelligence solutions using modern analytics and visualization tools
  • Understanding of data governance, security, privacy, and best practices for maintaining data integrity and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and effectively partner with stakeholders
  • Ability to evaluate and implement emerging technologies, automation tools, and enterprise data management practices to improve operational efficiency

Starting Annual Rate: $67,070 - $87,190 - $108,990 (Commensurate with experience and qualifications)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and five (5) years of related experience. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.

PERSONAL:

Must be able to possess the necessary physical requirements, with or without the aid of mechanical devices, to safely perform tasks requiring sitting and staring at a computer screen for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, kneeling, and extensive walking significant distances between and within buildings on campus.
