The intern role is designed to expose and challenge students pursuing or interested in a career in data analytics, project management, or a related field. This position will offer a range of successful practices that will build experience working with data, generating value-add reporting, conducting analyses, and interacting with clients and internal stakeholders. Work hours will be approximately 15-25 hours per week.
 
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data from various sources.
  • Utilize data reporting and visualization tools with guidance to analyze data trends and produce reports.
  • Validate data used for analysis and reports.
  • Support the development and implementation of data management protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in creating dashboards and other data visualization tools to communicate findings.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of data used for analyses and reporting.
  • Generate reports from the EHR and other data collection systems to facilitate data synthesis and reporting for grant and quality initiative reporting.
  • Assist the data team with training on using EPIC, data collection tools, UDS measures, and quality measure dashboards.
  • Assist the quality improvement staff with data collection and monitoring needs.
  • Assist the data and quality team in creating job aids for reporting and using the EHR and other databases.

Job Qualifications
Required
  • Pursuing or interested in a career in Public Health, Health Informatics Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Health Informatics, Business, or equivalent.
  • Willingness to ask questions when in need of direction or clarification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills
