This position is intended for a highly productive research coordinator with experience managing a large and diverse research portfolio. The ideal candidate will have experience with industry-sponsored studies, federally funded studies, and investigator-initiated trials. Preferred qualifications include prior experience supporting these types of studies, including study coordination responsibilities, assisting with grant writing, and regulatory compliance activities. This is a fast-paced position that requires strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Oversees and coordinates more complex clinical research studies; serves as a resource to provide comprehensive information to clinical research staff by promoting a smooth operation, preparation of regulatory compliance and interaction with other departments; may supervise clinical research staff. Coordinates with multidisciplinary teams to maintain continuity of care and human subject protection with a commitment to research integrity.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: May perform duties inclusive of those delegated to a Clinical Research Coordinator II. Responsible for the development of case report forms, questionnaires, and the application of research techniques. Reviews and approves the billing matrix calendars for studies. Implements and manages all phases of study/protocol lifecycle; ensures compliance with protocol guidelines, standard operating procedures, institutional policies, and requirements of regulatory agencies; monitors participants’ progress; identifies problems and/or inconsistencies with study conduct/data and assists in developing corrective action plans; serves as liaison with funding or sponsoring agency. Provides guidance to members of research team in the implementation and evaluation of clinical research; may train new staff; may serve as lead or as point of reference for other research coordinators for questions, staff scheduling, feedback on performance. May assist in ordering supplies needed for the research projects and research group. Investigator Initiated Research Project Specific Tasks May act as primary liaison to Principal Investigator (PI) to assist in developing plans for investigator-initiated research projects; may assist in preparation of budgets and grant proposals to sponsoring agencies; may assist in writing initial study protocol and instructional manuals; may assist in preparation of amendments to protocols and/or modification to study design, as appropriate. May review journals, abstracts, and scientific literature to keep abreast of new developments and to obtain information regarding previous studies to aid in the planning of new studies. May assist in preparation of study progress reports and data safety monitoring reports for PI and funding agencies. May assist in the interpretation of study data and results; may prepare oral and written reports and presentations and/or assist with preparation of manuscripts for publication. Required Qualifications: BLS certification must be obtained within one month of hire date. Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements). Optional Based on Department) SOCRA/ACRP certification.

Preferred Qualifications: Education: Master's degree. Certifications/Professional Licenses: No additional certification/professional licenses unless stated elsewhere in the job posting. Work Experience: Lead Position (1 Year). Skills: Clinical Research Management, Clinical Study Protocols, Database Management, Research Projects, Spreadsheet Analysis, Statistical Analysis Software (SAS), Supervision.

Grade C11 Salary Range $58,300.00 - $90,400.00 / Annually. The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
