Job description

Overview of the Role
We're looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Field DAS Technician to join our Field Operations team. In this role, you'll install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain Distributed Antenna System (DAS) infrastructure across hospitality and commercial environments. You'll play a key role in ensuring reliable wireless connectivity for our customers, directly impacting their day-to-day operations and guest experience.
What You'll Do
  • Install, configure, and maintain DAS components including antennas, coax/fiber cabling, headend equipment, and supporting infrastructure
  • Perform site surveys, signal grid testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance
  • Diagnose and resolve RF, connectivity and hardware issues in the field
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, RF designs, and technical documentation
  • Accurately document work performed, test results, and as-built changes in company systems
  • Interact directly with customers onsite, providing updates and explaining technical work in a clear, professional manner
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Network Engineers, and other Field Technicians to complete installations on time and within scope
  • Maintain professionalism, safety awareness and empathy in all customer communications

What You Bring
  • Must Haves:
    • 2+ years of experience in DAS, RF, wireless, or low-voltage field installation roles
    • Familiarity with tools such as spectrum analyzers, RF testers, cable testers and standard hand/power tools
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and escalate when appropriate
    • Comfortable working in active construction sites, hotels, rooftops, and confined spaces
    • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally within the Salt Lake City area
  • Nice-to-Have
    • Certifications such as iBwave, CommScope, Corning, or OSHA-10/30
    • Experience with fiber splicing, coax termination, and RF optimization
    • Familiarity with hospitality environments, new construction projects, or large commercial deployments
    • Experience working with DAS carriers and public safety DAS systems
