Job description

The team lead provides day to day management and oversight of the electronic services

staff. The team lead also makes recommendations for the development of new electronic

communications systems and procurement of equipment, parts and supplies, upon approval

by the COR, and is responsible for logistical support to the DOE/HQ Office of

Administration in the area of digital communications, electronic equipment and supply, IT

and other outside communications services as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides engineering and support for video production, television broadcasting and

operations, digital media, in-house cable TV, video conferencing, conference

audio, and radio communications systems. Fabricate, install and maintain video,

audio, MATV, and VTC system upgrades.

  • Engineer and set-up studio, auditoriums, conference rooms, outdoor or off-site

facility with all necessary equipment such as cameras, lighting, recorders, video

switchers, video playback, visiting press support, computer animation or

presentation, and audio reinforcement equipment for the broadcast of an event as

required and requested by customer or conferencing group. Perform requirements

needed for the production of a television or satellite broadcast, news media tour,

webcast, webinar, training session, VTC, or recorded event.

  • Provide broadcast and industrial quality television production and postproduction

support using facilities and equipment. Expertise in setting up and

operating audio boards, audio mixers, amplifiers, DAs, wireless microphones,

press multiplexers, AV routers, video convertors, modulators, encoders,

streaming capturing devices, fiber optics systems, television broadcast headend,

etc. Be able to troubleshoot problems quickly and adapt to changing customer

needs.

  • Oversees, plans, and manages the technology development, develops Autocad

diagrams, application, analysis, quality control, installation, maintenance, resource

allocation, administrative, budget, and personnel issues based on contract

requirements.

  • Ensures the day to day operations of all Electronic Services requirements as

directed by the Project Manager. Attend weekly staff meetings and present ideas

and give feedback on behalf of the support services team.

  • Documents all equipment work, cable drops, equipment modifications,

conferencing events, broadcast events, and repair work.

Education and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience serving in a team lead function with

a Bachelor's or Associates degree from an accredited college or university.
