In June 2018, Camp Verde became officially the 20th Dark Sky Community and received their Dark Sky Community recognition from the International Dark-Sky Association! An IDA International Dark Sky community is a town, city, municipality, or other legally organized community that has shown exceptional dedication to the preservation of the night sky through the implementation and enforcement of a quality outdoor lighting ordinance, dark sky education, and citizen support of dark skies. Camp Verde is the fifth dark sky community in Arizona, and the 20th designated dark sky community in the world. Wonderfully enough, designated first in the world dark sky community is Flagstaff which is only one hour away from the Camp Verde area. About the Facility โ€“ The Yavapai Apache Medical Center The Yavapai-Apache Nation Medical Center is located in the Middle Verde tribal community. The medical center provides healthcare services that include primary medical care, behavioral health, dental, vision, and support services. All services provided through the Medical Center are by appointment only. The Yavapai-Apache Nation is located in the Verde Valley of Arizona and is comprised of five (5) tribal communities: Tunlii, Middle Verde, Rimrock, Camp Verde and Clarkdale. Facility Address: 2400 West Datsi Ave, Camp Verde, AZ 86322

Responsibilities
  • To provide the required outpatient routine dental services, emergency care, and oral disease prevention/oral health promotion services based on HIS priority levels of care.
  • Shall assist and perform services/duties as may be requested for normal operational requirements of the department and personnel, which may include moderate lifting and moving of any furniture, equipment, and boxes of office supplies.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years current experience.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support.
  • Sensitivity to cross-cultural and language differences, and the ability to work through interpreters as necessary.
  • Current unrestricted state license issued by any American state, the District of Columbia or Puerto Rico โ€“ and โ€“ completed residency training.
Terms
