Assistant Dance Teacher: Terrific Twos, Preschool & Combo (dancers ages 2-7)

Dance Connection is seeking assistant teacher for its Terrific Twos (age 2), Preschool (ages 3-4) and Combo (ages 5-7) classes for its Bay Shore location. Our performing arts school has an emphasis on excellence and love for the art of dance with a large student base of dancers aged 2 to adult.

Our Terrific Twos, Preschool, and Combo programs are unique and highly specialized and we take the education of these children very seriously. We are looking for a candidate who is ready to jump right in and learn the particulars of these programs to assist the main teacher in the class. This position would be good for someone who enjoys being an assistant teacher or who would like to eventually become a Preschool/Combo dance teacher on our staff.

Availability: Seeking a candidate with availability for weekday afternoon/evenings, Saturdays, Tuesday mornings, and Wednesday mornings.

Requirements:

  • Prior dance training and experience.
  • Experience with teaching and supervising children ages 2-7.
  • Experience as an assistant dance teacher or dance teacher is a plus, but not required.
  • Professional, organized, proactive, and friendly attitude.
  • Ability to use the internet and email.
  • Candidate must hold a high school diploma or equivalent GED.
