This is a part-time, seasonal position reporting to the program's Head Coach and further to the Director of Athletics. Assistant Coaches at CUWAA fulfill the Athletics Department mission to inspire a Christian culture of academic and athletic excellence by embracing the mission of the University: developing the mind, body and spirit of our student-athletes. The result is a win in every sense of the word.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist the head coach in planning and attending practices, training sessions, games, and competitions.Help coordinate competitive logistics, travel, and preparation.Assist with communication between coaching staff and team members.Support budget management and purchasing requests as assigned.Assist with social media or promotional initiatives when appropriate.Teach and reinforce dance technique, choreography, performance quality, and execution.Help maintain performance standards and overall team presentation.Support and integrate the mission and values of Concordia University within the program.Other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesStrong knowledge of pom, game day, and jazz performance stylesExcellent organizational abilities, professional written and oral communication skills.Strong problem-solving skills.Demonstrated leadership and management skills.Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a driver check.Supportive of mission and core values of the CUWAA Athletics Department.Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)Education & Experience2+ years of collegiate dance am or coaching experience is preferredExperience with choreographing and cleaning routines for a teamPhysical Demands/Equipment (Click to View)Compensation & BenefitsThis is a part-time, seasonal position paid by way of bi-monthly stipend throughout the duration of the sport/program season. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience.
