Highly competitive, based on experience and graduate credits, per Rush-Henrietta Central School District Teachers' Contract

 
QUALIFICATIONS:              

Candidates must possess a valid New York State Teaching Certification in Dance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of dance pedagogy, choreography, performance techniques, and effective instructional practices for secondary students. Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills are essential, along with the ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and families. Experience supporting diverse learners and implementing culturally responsive instructional practices is preferred.

 
DESCRIPTION:                     

Rush-Henrietta is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Dance Teacher to support the introduction of a new dance curriculum and program offering for students. The successful candidate will deliver engaging instruction aligned with the New York State Learning Standards for the Arts while fostering creativity, collaboration, performance skills, and an appreciation for dance.
Responsibilities include planning and delivering instruction for students in grades 7-12, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues, families, and administrators to support student success. Participation in faculty meetings and professional development activities is expected.
