Responsibilities 

The Renaissance Pointe YMCA is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic part-time Hip Hop Dance instructor to join our team, who will lead young participants (16+) through classes that introduce Hip Hop dance.

  • Lead: Responsible for monitoring and keeping track of program participants and enforcing all program rules and policies.
  • Motivate: Include all students and emphasize each participant’s unique capabilities.
  • Inspire: Maintain a safe and efficient environment, respond to emergencies when needed, and make responsible judgments regarding participant and/or program area conduct.

Requirements 

Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:

  • At least 16 years old. 
  • Must possess strong human relations skills and the ability to communicate with participants and staff. 
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to lead a group while maintaining structure and control.
  • Experience in Hip Hop Dance. 
  • Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.  

Salary: Part-time $12.44 - $14.50 hourly

Hours Available: Thursday 4:30pm-6:30pm
