Revolutionize Communication in the Lively Atmosphere of Las Vegas - Become a Speech Language Pathologist with Us
Overview
What if your next career choice allowed you to manifest your passion for communication? As a Speech Language Pathologist in the dynamic city of Las Vegas, your role transcends mere treatment of speech and swallowing disorders. You will unveil potential, foster confidence, and weave human connections - from young children uttering their first words to older adults reclaiming their independence.
This position presents a remarkable opportunity to impact various individuals at different life stages in a setting that harmonizes outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient services. Whether your heart lies in pediatric speech development, the realm of adult neurogenic communication challenges, or senior cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, you will discover satisfaction and flexibility in your work here.
Description
  • Conduct evaluations using standardized assessments and observational methods for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Create customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
  • Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care strategies.
  • Educate patients and their families to ensure progress outside of clinical encounters.
  • Assist with occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and therapeutic interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
  • Maintain accurate and prompt documentation that aligns with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Remain abreast of advancements in the field through ongoing education and peer collaboration.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
Skills
  • Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for all age groups, with a solid understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Ability to modify therapy techniques to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation standards.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary aligned with experience.
  • Flexible scheduling to promote work-life balance and manage varied caseloads.
  • Opportunities for specialization in pediatrics, adult neuro rehab, or geriatrics.
  • Paid time off (PTO) along with holiday pay.
  • Health insurance options including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Support for continuing education costs and professional growth.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on delivering exceptional care and lifelong learning.

A Career That Takes You Places - and Moves You
In this position, your mission will extend beyond providing speech therapy; you will join a community-focused initiative aimed at mending voices, enhancing communication, and cultivating joyful encounters through the simplest acts of understanding and connection.
Collaborating with colleagues who treat each other as family, you will thrive in an environment that values teamwork over competition. Each patient has a narrative; we trust you to assist in shaping that story.
Experience the Lifestyle You Crave
Life in Las Vegas is a captivating dance of energy and entertainment, where vibrant culture meets endless opportunity. From the iconic Strip lined with dazzling lights to serene desert landscapes, this city offers an incredible blend of excitement and relaxation.
Stroll down the Las Vegas Strip, where various experiences await: world-class dining, art installations, and lively performances. For outdoor enthusiasts, the nearby Red Rock Canyon offers stunning trails, while the Springs Preserve invites discovery of the rich natural history of the area. Families can delight in the myriad of kid-friendly destinations, from interactive science museums to thrilling amusement parks.
In terms of professional growth, the absence of state income tax, coupled with a reasonably low cost of living, contributes to a flourishing healthcare community eager to welcome talent and innovation. This is a place where your career can flourish, whether you're an entry-level professional or a well-experienced clinician wishing to grow.
Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a Speech Language Pathologist fueled by passion and compassion. Someone who perceives the silent struggles of children and envisions the beauty of future communication. You might have a specialty in pediatrics aspiring to branch into adult communications, or be focused on neuro rehabilitation while wanting to integrate early intervention techniques into your practice.
Your unique passion and expertise are what we value. If you're ready to drive your practice with heart and insight, we are eager to meet you.
Let's Craft Communication Together
If you perceive speech as a powerful tool for change, and therapy as a chance to foster trust - if laughter and language come hand in hand - then perhaps your next chapter begins here.
Join us as we champion communication, connection, and the courage necessary to embark on new journeys. Apply now to lend your voice to our mission and assist others in discovering theirs.
