Our client is a manufacturer of plastic bags and film based in Kansas City, MO. They have been in business for over 45 years and have a strong reputation in their industry for supplying customers with quality poly bags and film backed by unmatched service.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our client, a family-owned business, is looking to hire a sales representative to actively cultivate and develop a new sales territory in the Columbus, OH, area by selling its original and unique fundraising product. This is a product every household needs and uses daily: "trash bags"! They manufacture these 100% MADE-IN-AMERICA trash bags that they sell. They have been successfully selling trash bags to schools, sports teams, bands, dance studios, family reunions, and more for over 40 years, helping these organizations generate millions of dollars in profit. They are seeking the right person to join their thriving fundraising business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and grow a new sales territory by identifying, prospecting, and securing fundraising accounts
  • Actively call on schools, sports teams, bands, dance studios, churches, family organizations, and other community groups that need effective fundraising solutions
  • Build strong relationships with key decision-makers, including coaches, teachers, PTA/HSO leaders, school administrators, athletic directors, and community organizers
  • Present and sell a unique 100% Made-in-America trash bag fundraising program as a practical, high-demand product that delivers strong results for organizations
  • Educate prospective customers on how the fundraising program can help support needs such as travel, uniforms, musical instruments, athletic equipment, playground equipment, and other group expenses
  • Cultivate a self-generated pipeline through networking, referrals, community outreach, and relationship-based selling
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach and presentation through closing, account setup, and ongoing customer support
  • Serve as a trusted fundraising partner by helping organizations plan, launch, and execute successful campaigns that maximize profit
  • Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and customers to build repeat business and long-term partnerships
  • Meet or exceed territory sales goals through proactive business development and strong account management
  • Represent the company with professionalism, energy, and enthusiasm while promoting a family-owned business with over 40 years of fundraising success
  • Stay engaged in the local community and continuously identify new opportunities to expand the company's presence and market share
