AEM Developer
Location: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid: 4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote)
Duration: Contract - W2 only.

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced AEM Developer to help transform and modernize digital experiences across its global web platforms. This role will focus on designing, developing, and supporting Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions that deliver engaging, scalable, and high-performing customer experiences.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AEM development, Java, and modern front-end technologies, along with experience building cloud-based solutions and collaborating within Agile development teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain AEM components, templates, workflows, and content fragments.
  • Support Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) implementations.
  • Develop and maintain Digital Asset Management (DAM) repositories, metadata schemas, and asset governance standards.
  • Configure and manage Blueprints, Live Copies, and Rollout Configurations for multi-site content management.
  • Build responsive web experiences using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, and/or Angular.
  • Develop backend services and integrations using Java, Apache Sling, OSGi, and REST APIs.
  • Collaborate with architects, UX/UI designers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring application stability and performance.
  • Support search optimization, content indexing, and enterprise search capabilities.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and development standards.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments across multiple environments.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development experience.
  • Strong experience with:
    • AEM Components
    • Templates
    • Workflows
    • DAM (Digital Asset Management)
    • Content Fragments
    • Experience Fragments
  • Proficiency in Java, Apache Sling, and OSGi.
  • Strong front-end development experience with:
    • HTML5
    • CSS3
    • JavaScript
    • React or Angular
  • Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS).
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch and enterprise search solutions.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
  • Adobe AEM Certifications.
  • Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) or AI-powered search solutions.
