Job description

Become a vital part of the Dallas Market Center team as a Building Maintenance Technician! In this role, you'll play a key role in ensuring our vast facilities remain comfortable, safe, and operate efficiently. Your expertise in maintenance will contribute significantly to the daily experiences of our exhibitors, buyers, and employees, making our market center a standout venue in Dallas. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs, routine maintenance, and preventive inspections on HVAC, electrical, and lighting systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct detailed inspections of HVAC components including chillers, air handlers, and cooling towers to preemptively identify issues.
  • Collaborate on installing new HVAC units and major equipment overhauls.
  • Address and resolve hot/cold complaints and other issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Rotate duties to monitor startup and shutdown of chillers, lights, and escalators.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using the work order system.
  • Assist in planning and executing building maintenance projects.
  • Respond to service requests and provide support during afterhours events.
  • Work closely with a supportive team on various maintenance projects, including routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Set schedule: 9:30 am - 6 pm

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Level 3 HVAC Certification or HVAC License.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience.

Preferred:

  • EPA Section 608 Certification for handling refrigerant.
