Brief Overview of Position
The Deposit Operations Senior Specialist is responsible for the daily processing of ACH transactions and monitoring of ACH file processing. The responsibilities include processing of ACH manual returns as needed, ACH stop payments, and ACH rejected entries in a timely manner while prioritizing other duties such as the handling of incoming inquiries from internal partners and external financial institutions. The Deposit Operation Senior Specialist will also assist with ACH origination and ACH service setup for the operations department.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor the processing of ACH fi les to ensure any erroneous activity or failures are communicated quickly and effectively
  • Maintain and document daily ACH outgoing fi es for accuracy, review, and record retention
  • Accurately process daily ACH tasks, which includes non-post items, stop payments, and returns
  • Assist with preparation and gathering of daily ACH reports for review and approval from management
  • Process ACH reclamations accordingly
  • Process and review daily ACH origination and service setup, modifications, and deletions
  • Respond promptly and courteously to daily inquiries from internal partners
  • Respond promptly and courteously to external financial institutions while adhering to any deadlines for the department or per Nacha rules and regulations
  • Support management with various operational duties and responsibilities
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years banking operations experience
  • Prior experience with ACH processing including basic knowledge of Nacha rules and regulation preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Excel and Outlook required.
  • Proficiency in the use of PC software tools for reports, audits, and analysis, including knowledge of Fiserv products and Cash Management software.
