Job Overview

The Warehouse Operator plays a key role in executing assigned warehouse tasks. This ncludes but is not limited to, proper tracking of Production Orders, use of Inventory Management System for transferring of product to proper locations, printing of labels and proper placement of labels on finished goods pallets, loading of finished goods onto outbound trailers, printing of load diagrams and preparing other shipping documents as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate palletizing equipment including pallet wrappers and attached conveyor lines while supplying pallets, slip sheets, and tie sheets as needed to maintain continuous production line flow and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions and operational issues in a timely manner to minimize production downtime and maintain quality standards.
  • Operate Inventory Management System handheld scanners to accurately track raw materials and finished goods inventory throughout the shift.
  • Support PET, Aseptic, UF, HG, and Quarts production lines by ensuring accurate movement of finished goods, materials, and packaging to meet operational needs.
  • Safely operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts) in compliance with company safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide flexible staffing support by covering breaks, lunches, and other assigned duties as directed by supervisor or lead personnel to ensure adequate line coverage.
  • Maintain compliance with all dairy processing regulations and safety requirements while actively reporting any concerns, hazards, or incidents to supervisor or lead immediately.
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to the Syracuse Cold Storage (SCS) facility for a minimum of two weeks of training or participate in an approved carpooling arrangement.
  • Must be flexible regarding training schedules and shift assignments during the onboarding period. Training opportunities are available across multiple shifts.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of warehouse processes, operational expectations, and job responsibilities within a newly established warehouse environment.
  • Work effectively in both ambient and refrigerated (cooler) warehouse settings while adhering to all safety and quality standards.
  • Assist with warehouse startup activities, including organization, inventory flow setup, sanitation efforts, and preparation of operational workspaces.
  • Support warehouse operations by assisting with product rework, leaker management, and other general warehouse needs as business demands require.
  • Embrace a continuous improvement mindset and understand that the facility is in a startup phase where processes, systems, and workflows will continue to evolve and improve over time.
  • Utilize warehouse management and inventory systems while performing basic clerical and administrative tasks related to inventory tracking and record accuracy.
  • Safely operate material handling equipment (MHE), including electric pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts, and other powered industrial vehicles in accordance with company safety policies.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to establish efficient warehouse processes and support the successful launch and ongoing operation of the new warehouse facility.

Min. Qualifications

  • Minimum of GED or High School Diploma preferred.
  • Prior PIT experience preferred.
