Position Summary The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and developing a team of production employees while ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the facility. This role plans and assigns work, manages shift resources, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures production, quality, food safety, and safety objectives are achieved. What You'll Do Lead daily production operations to meet safety, quality, productivity, and customer requirements. Plan and organize personnel, materials, equipment, and production schedules to maximize efficiency. Coach, develop, and hold employees accountable to performance expectations and plant standards. Ensure effective shift-to-shift communication and smooth operational transitions. Promote and maintain compliance with food safety, SQF, FSMA, GMP, and workplace safety programs. Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost reduction. Coordinate staffing, workflow adjustments, and operational priorities to meet business demands. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and professional growth. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to resolve issues and improve overall plant performance. Maintain regulatory compliance and uphold company policies and procedures. Serve as a hands-on leader who supports operational success while developing future talent. What We're Looking For Education & Experience Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, food production, dairy processing, or a related industry preferred. Strong leadership experience managing teams in a production environment. Key Qualifications Excellent communication, coaching, and employee development skills. Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Analytical mindset with the ability to make sound operational decisions. Ability to lead through change and drive continuous improvement. Self-directed, resourceful, and collaborative leadership style. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and manufacturing systems. Commitment to safety, food quality, and operational excellence. Physical Requirements This role requires active involvement throughout the manufacturing facility, including climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching overhead, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
