Commercial Electrician (Mechanic)Job Summary

Clark Electric is seeking a dependable Commercial Electrician (Mechanic) to install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems on commercial construction projects. This role requires experience interpreting blueprints, installing electrical systems safely, and working efficiently as part of a field team.

Responsibilities
  • Install conduit, wiring, panels, lighting, devices, and electrical equipment according to plans and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.
  • Measure, bend, thread, assemble, and install conduit.
  • Pull, splice, terminate, and test wiring and electrical systems.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems as needed.
  • Coordinate work with supervisors, helpers, and other trades.
  • Ensure quality workmanship while minimizing material waste.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow Clark Electric and OSHA safety standards.
  • Complete required paperwork and daily documentation.
  • Ensure proper tools and materials are available for assigned tasks.
Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and written instructions.
  • Experience safely using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
  • Ability to operate lifts, trenchers, and other construction equipment safely.
  • Ability to bend conduit by hand.
  • Ability to identify wire colors accurately.
  • Working knowledge of commercial electrical installation practices and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Ability to lead and direct Electrician Helpers when assigned.
  • Commitment to safe work practices.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, crawl, climb ladders, and work overhead for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor construction environments.
  • Sufficient vision and hearing (with or without correction) to perform essential job functions.
