Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in classroom settings, providing academic, behavioral, and social assistance
- Deliver 1:1 or small-group help at the direction of teachers and staff
- Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and inclusive classroom participation
- Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs, as needed
- Aid with mobility, supervision, and personal care requirements
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and respectful learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- Completion of TB test (per school policy)
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist in lifting tasks
- Current clearances, or willingness to obtain before starting
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
- Background working with students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Training in CPI, PMT, or RBT a plus, but not required
- Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
