Bonitz of Georgia welcomes qualified applicants from outside the Savannah area. Relocation assistance may be available for the selected candidate to help offset eligible moving expenses. The amount and terms of assistance will be determined based on the position, candidate location, and business needs and must be approved in advance.
Bonitz of Georgia is hiring a skilled Roof Decking Foreman. On a daily basis, you'll lead a team through supervision, training and coaching to ensure the team delivers a quality roof decking system to the customer. You'll also ensure that all equipment is in good working condition. The ideal candidate will have a strong background providing training, leadership, and fostering teamwork in construction projects with an emphasis on safety, quality and efficiency. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise the entire roof decking process and team
  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of assigned construction projects
  • Plan daily work goals to complete jobs on time while ensuring both efficiency and quality
  • Conduct on-site safety meetings and ensure all safety protocols are being followed
  • Supervise, train and coach crew members and subcontractors to ensure high-quality work and adherence to project specifications
  • Communicate with the superintendent and office support personnel to provide updates and address any issues or concerns
  • Ensure that all necessary equipment and tools are used in the proper manner and properly maintained
  • Maintain an accurate equipment & materials inventory
  • Maintain a work environment that adheres to all company and OSHA standards
  • Submit timely and accurate timesheets, expense reports, delivery tickets, etc.
  • Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
  • Overtime as required
  • Communication skills
  • Travel to various job sites, 75% weekday overnight travel
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull heavy equipment (50 - 75 pounds)
  • Must possess the ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Must possess good manual dexterity to climb around equipment and job site
  • Ability to work at heights as well as access heights from a ladder
  • Employees may be required to perform any other job-related tasks as requested by the Superintendent
  • Must enjoy working outside in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work occasional weekend day(s)
  • 90-day Probationary period
  • Bilingual a plus

REQUIREMENTS - Bonitz of Georgia is a drug-free workplace
  • Potential candidates must be willing to submit to and meet the requirements of a preemployment drug screening and physical
  • 3 years of experience in the commercial construction industry
  • Experience in concrete work preferred but not required
  • Normal vision and hearing
  • Acceptable driving record per MVR guidelines
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Willingness to travel
  • 30-hour OSHA certification helpful but not required. We will help you get your certifications
