Job Description

Senior Big Data Analytics Developer w/proven experience leading the design and build of 'Big Data' algorithmic platforms --

Job responsibilities include implementing the analytics infrastructure, data integration with both streaming and batch sources, efficient distributed processing, and managing predictive analytics models.

Must be well-versed in writing Scala architecture on OS X and AWS (Amazon Web Services), as well as Java and Clojure.

Must have a strong understanding of data modeling in both Remote Procedure Call (RPC) and Representational State Transfer (REST).

My client is currently building a cloud-based analytics platform using open source and SaaS tools--should have experience with Apache Kafka and Samza.

Candidate should have a strong understanding of Test-Driven Development, Agile Methodologies, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment--along with analytics techniques such as Machine Learning and Bayesian Methods.

Must be familiar with NoSQL on the back end.
