Position Overview Join D1 Training Beaverton as a Speed/Strength Coach, where you'll inspire and empower athletes to achieve their fitness goals. As an independent contractor, you'll deliver high-quality training, foster a positive environment, and contribute to our mission of transforming lives through fitness.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead group, small-group, and one-on-one training sessions.
  • Customize programs to align with individual athlete goals.
  • Ensure safety through proper technique and movement patterns.
  • Build strong relationships with athletes and maintain accountability for their progress.
  • Uphold D1's core values:

Compensation Structure
  • Group Classes: $20-$30/class, based on years of experience.
  • 1on1: $30-40/session, based on years of experience.
  • Attendance: Earn performance bonuses for reaching attendance milestones in each class.
  • Independent Coaching: Set your own rates for personal clients you bring in.

Qualifications
  • AED/CPR/First Aid certification (valid).
  • NCCA-accredited certification (e.g., NSCA, NASM, ACSM, ACE).
  • At least 1 year of coaching experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field (preferred).

Additional Expectations
  • Independent Contractor Status: As an independent contractor, you are responsible for managing your own taxes, maintaining required certifications, and securing liability insurance to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Professional Conduct: Maintain the highest level of professionalism, adhere to confidentiality protocols, and represent D1 Training with integrity.
  • Scheduling and Cancellations: Classes with fewer than 5 attendees may be canceled to maintain operational efficiency. Coaches are encouraged to proactively communicate with athletes to minimize disruptions.
