A Cytogenetics Lab Director is a senior scientist or medical professional responsible for overseeing the operations of a cytogenetics laboratory. They manage laboratory personnel, ensure quality control, and interpret complex genetic test results related to chromosomal abnormalities. Their role also involves maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, developing laboratory protocols, and often collaborating with physicians to guide patient diagnosis and care.
