Urologist Opening - Slidell, LAPosition DetailsWalk into a great group dynamic on the Northshore with a busy practice including 3 MDs and 3 APPs.

  • Call: Average of 5‚Äì6 days a month with paid call. Share call with a community doc; would be 1:5 if someone were to join.
  • Schedule: M‚ÄìF schedule with block OR time.
  • Technology: Access to UroNav, Robotics, and Aquablation.
  • Facility: Brand new state-of-the-art surgery center opened last fall.
  • Support: Support staff in the clinic as well as in the OR.
  • Common procedures at Slidell Memorial: ureteroscopy, TURBT, TURP, cystoscopy, prostate ultrasound and biopsy, vasectomy.
  • Facility Details
  • Weekly group volume: 220‚Äì240 patients
  • Typical MD clinic load: up to 24 patients/day
  • APP volumes: up to 16 patients/day; handle lower-acuity cases, post-ops, and UTI visits
  • Schedule: 2.5‚Äì3 days clinic, 1‚Äì2 days surgery/week
  • Block OR time available
  • APPs are shared across the practice, not assigned to specific physicians
  • Procedures include:
  • - prostatectomies - nephrectomies - aqua ablation - cystoscopy - UroNav-guided biopsies
  • Robotics (Da Vinci) and Aquablation platform available
  • Preference for a robotics-trained urologist
  • - Robotics-trained and would value a peer collaborator
  • High need for a provider with interest in female urology, incontinence, and recurrent UTI management
  • Call Requirements
  • Call: 5‚Äì7 days/month, including rotating weekends, shared with a solo urologist in the community
  • Call schedule coordinated internally among providers
  • Majority of after-hours consults managed by phone
  • Occasional in-person needs: torsion, catheter placements
  • Hospitalists manage admissions, inpatient care, and consults
