Job description

This Full-Time position is located at the CYS School Age Center at Sierra Army Depot, CA.
Morale Welfare & Recreation Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee:
  • Available to MWR CYS Regular and FLEX (working a minimum of 15 hours)
  • First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees)
  • Second and Subsequent Child: 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees)

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Education: Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in child development, early childhood education, elementary or secondary education, home economics, special education, or other fields appropriate to the position.
- For positions in Child Development Facilities: The education must have been in child development, early childhood education, home economics (early childhood emphasis), elementary education, special education or other fields appropriate to the position to be filled such as directly related behavioral science.
- For positions in Youth Facilities: The education must have been in youth development, youth administration, secondary education, home economics, physical education, elementary education, special education or other fields appropriate to the position to be filled such as directly related behavioral science.
- For positions in School-Age facilities: the education must have been in any of the fields above.
AND
Experience:
Candidate must also possess all of the following:
Minimum of 24 months experience working in group programs with children/youth as well as demonstrated knowledge in theories and principals of child/youth development, which must include 12 months of demonstrated experience in managing an entire cycle of operation of a CYS facility to include budgeting, facility management, supply management, program development, program implementation, curriculum oversight, hiring selections, training and supervision of personnel.Education:Proof of education is required at the time of application.
Note: Education must be directly related to the position to be filled. General Education courses do not count toward the credit total.
