You will directly contribute to ensuring all our gas products are ready for delivery and that operations are meeting the General Air Service & Supply Standard Operating Procedures.

Position Description:

Weโ€™re looking for a dynamic, high performing Cylinder Handler Technician who wants to learn and understand processes associated with production, repackaging gas, gas properties, and working with production equipment. The ideal candidate has a history working with his/her hands, enjoys following policies and procedures, understands the importance of safety, and is motivated by hard work.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Strategically sort empty compressed gas cylinders by type and size
  • Methodically inspect and maintain gas and liquid containers
  • Properly bar code and label cylinders or tanks
  • Load, unload cylinders or tanks on vehicles and record type and quantity of cylinders
  • Safely operate a forklift; loading, unloading, and transporting
  • Blast and paint cylinders according to requirements in designated area
  • Ensure protection caps are secured over valves and cylinders are labeled correctly
  • Remove valves and install reconditioned valves on cylinders
  • Document and follow all SOP for producing gas and liquid product
  • Understand and learn FDA, DOT, GHS, OSHA, and HAZCOM requirements
  • Strategically organize and arrange product in the fill plant, route trucks, and/or paintenance areas
  • Handle and/or move gas and liquid containers
  • Able to perform basic data entry for DOT manifests
  • Accurately document and track production needs and requirements
  • Communicate with all stakeholders effectively ensuring final quality of work
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Desire to work hard and be punctual
  • Comfortable handling hazardous materials
  • Be able to stand on your feet 7 to 8 hours a day with lots of walking, twisting, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, sitting and repetitive motions
  • Frequent lifting of 10-20lbs is required, may at times lift up to 75lbs
  • Reoccurring pushing/pulling 150lbs
  • Ability to work indoor/outdoor with hot summer and cold winter conditions where high noise levels are possible
  • Strong track record of being safe
  • Ability to perform repetitive work functions in a production environment
