The Opportunity

We’re looking for Bike Instructors for our Summer Camps. Here’s how this job plays a role:

  • As an instructor you will spend your days outside while inspiring the next generation of cyclists. It’s active, adventurous, fun, and incredibly rewarding.
  • You don’t have to be a bike expert because we provide training for our programs for you to get going in your new role! 

What you’d be responsible for

In addition to sharing your ideas on how we can grow, learn and build, in this role, you’ll also be:

  • Teaching our daily Pedal heads camp programs for children ages 4-12 years.
  • Actively introduce children new bike skills
  • Ensure the health and safety of children at camp
  • Act as a positive role model and leader at all times
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Here are some of the skills / specifics that are important for this role:

  • You will be at least 18 years of age by the start of camp
  • Comfortable leading a group of up to 6 children (training provided)
  • Committed to keeping our campers safe
  • You are energetic, creative, motivated and fun
  • Hold or willing to get a current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certificate
  • Criminal record check required
  • You have access to a bike and helmet and can ride a bike proficiently

Camp Locations

  • Newton
  • Medford

Schedule

  • August 17-21 Monday - Friday (No weekends)
  • Shifts between 8am - 5pm
    • Half day (AM & PM) and full day classes

Wage:

  • $17.00 /hour
