Job Summary
The Warehouse Cycle Counter will be responsible for modeling and promoting Sendik's culture by consistently providing "best in class" service to our guests. The main responsibility of the Warehouse Cycle Counter is to en sure the accuracy of all items within the Warehouse. In addition, the Warehouse Cycle Counter will also oversee the integrity of products, including, but not limited to, accounting for damaged products, date checking and rotating products.

Work Experience
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Serve customers throughout the store locations while modeling Sendik's culture and providing "best in class" customer service, which includes, greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their business
  • Review nightly reports to confirm what items were selected; send paperwork and invoice to the stores as a confirmation of what items they should be receiving
  • Follow the receiving schedule to confirm accurate cycle count
  • Daily cycle counting of inventory and inputting information into spreadsheet.
  • Confirm that all products are accurate, fresh, rotated and located in the correct area
  • Record all returned products, place in correct areas and adjust inventory as needed
  • Record all damaged product and place on specific pallet designated for donations
  • Report any missing product to the Warehouse Director
  • Confirm all orders to be delivered that evening and verify the quantity
  • Deliver cycle counting reports to Finance
  • Daily operation of fork lift and pallet jack
  • Ensure that all inbound and outbound freight is inspected for damages and refrigerated merchandise is at the correct temperature before receiving or shipping
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of new associates in the Support Center
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and procedures
  • Assist with all other duties as needed

Qualifications:
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age due to required operation of Warehouse equipment
  • Current certification in order to operate forklift, pallet jack, and rider. (Company will compensate if needed)
  • Prior experience in inventory management is required
  • Prior warehouse experience is preferred
  • Ability to work in different temperature zones, including cold environments (i.e., coolers, freezers)
  • Strong sense of team - ability to anticipate the needs of the team
  • Strong knowledge of local and state health, sanitation and safety regulations
  • Ability to work at a fast paced and efficient manner
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions, priorities and circumstances
  • Ability to maintain composure, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
  • Ability to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities, under general supervision
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficient computer skills, working knowledge in Microsoft Office product suite and Google Products
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, push/pull for extended periods of time
