Job description

Inventory Specialist:
Seeking an experienced Inventory and Shipping Specialist to provide inventory support for dispatch of field service technicians, as well as assembly and shipping of all Energy Efficiency kits.
Inventory duties include daily warehouse activities that ensure product receipt; inventory, storage requirements are met in a safe, accurate and efficient manner, as well as sequencing products for loading in service vehicle for field installation crews. You will also maintain the inventory levels required daily to meet distribution demands. In this position, you will also assemble and ship customized energy efficiency kits to Utility customers who receive a virtual energy assessment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the loading/unloading of warehouse products using a pallet jack or hand truck.
Ability to accurately perform inventory counts in a timely manner.
Enter data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, inventory, and cycle count adjustments, into the computer database.
Prepare material for issue to installers by re-packaging items into pre-determined quantities, modifying manufacturer packaging to allow for easier access by installers and filling storage bins with the product as required.
Responsible for overseeing the weekly counting of all returned unused products into the warehouse inventory system.
Assemble and ship and track customized energy efficiency kits via FedEx software/tracking system.
Ensure maintained levels of shipping materials.
Respond to shipping/tracking inquiries.
Assist Purchasing department with vehicle maintenance.
Daily warehouse and office housekeeping duties
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of inventory control
Ability to perform accurately at a fast pace.
Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills
Good analytical skills
Proficiency in MS Office especially Excel
Valid driver's license with no restrictions, and an acceptable driving record.
Be able to lift fifty pounds.
Ability to pass the background check and drug test.
