Interns work alongside professionals to learn about protecting computer systems, networks, and data from digital attacks. Responsibilities may include assisting with security assessments, monitoring networks for threats, and helping to implement security measures. These internships provide valuable hands-on experience, networking opportunities, and can often lead to full-time positions in cybersecurity.

Cybersecurity Summer Interns typically engage in a variety of hands-on projects, such as assisting with vulnerability assessments, monitoring network activity for security threats, and supporting incident response efforts. Interns may also help develop or update security documentation, participate in security awareness training initiatives, and learn to use industry-standard tools. Collaboration with IT teams and seasoned cybersecurity professionals is common, providing valuable mentorship and exposure to real-world challenges. These experiences offer interns a well-rounded introduction to the field and help build practical skills relevant to future full-time roles.
