Job description

The Business Continuity Management (BCM) Analyst at Inmar is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities. This role ensures that Inmar can effectively respond to and recover from disruptions while maintaining critical operations for clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
The BCM Analyst partners across business and technology teams to perform risk assessments, business impact analyses, and continuity planning activities, while promoting a culture of resilience and preparedness across the organization.

Primary Accountabilities:

Business Continuity Planning & Development

  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) plans across Inmar business units.

  • Ensure BC/DR plans align with enterprise risk frameworks and industry standards (e.g., ISO 22301, NIST).

  • Maintain centralized documentation of continuity policies, procedures, and recovery strategies.

  • Support integration of continuity planning into operational and technology processes.

Risk Assessment & Business Impact Analysis (BIA)

  • Conduct risk assessments to identify threats to Inmar's operations, platforms, and client services.

  • Facilitate Business Impact Analyses (BIA) to identify critical processes, dependencies, and recovery objectives (RTOs/RPOs).

  • Partner with business and IT teams to prioritize recovery strategies based on impact and risk exposure.

Incident Response & Crisis Management

  • Support enterprise incident response and crisis management activities.

  • Serve as a coordination point during disruption events, helping ensure effective communication across stakeholders.

  • Assist in monitoring recovery efforts and documenting lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Testing & Training

  • Plan and execute BC/DR exercises, including tabletop simulations and functional recovery tests.

  • Identify gaps and recommend improvements based on test outcomes.

  • Deliver training and awareness programs to enhance organizational readiness and resilience.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Support compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.

  • Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership on continuity readiness, risks, and remediation efforts.

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation, including test results, plan updates, and assessment findings.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Complies with all policies and standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Technology, or related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, risk management, or related discipline.

  • Working knowledge of BCM frameworks (ISO 22301, NIST, BCI, DRII).

  • Experience conducting risk assessments, BIAs, and supporting incident response efforts.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels of the organization.

  • Understanding of IT disaster recovery, cloud resilience, and cybersecurity concepts.

  • Experience working in cross-functional, matrixed organizations.
