Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Release Planning & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly technology releases.
  • Develop and maintain release calendars, implementation schedules, and deployment plans across multiple projects and technology platforms.
  • Facilitate release readiness reviews, go/no-go decisions, change approvals, and post-release validations.
  • Ensure releases are completed on schedule, within scope, and with minimal disruption to production environments.
  • Manage release dependencies, risks, rollback plans, and contingency strategies.

Project Management

  • Drive project execution from initiation through implementation and post-production support.
  • Define project scope, milestones, resource requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Track progress against project plans and provide regular status reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced banking technology environment.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner closely with software engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, architecture, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, testing, and business teams.
  • Facilitate discussions between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Communicate release impacts, timelines, dependencies, and risks to senior leadership and affected business units.
  • Foster strong working relationships across cross-functional teams.

Cloud & Technology Oversight

  • Demonstrate strong awareness of cloud technologies and cloud-based delivery models, including public and hybrid-cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to support deployment strategies, platform modernization efforts, and cloud migration initiatives.
  • Understand cloud operational considerations, including scalability, resilience, monitoring, security, and service management.
  • Support release activities involving cloud-native applications, APIs, containerized services, and automated deployment pipelines.
