Description
Manager of Information Technology
Location: This is a 100% onsite position based at John C. Cassidy Air Conditioning & Plumbing's corporate headquarters in Riviera Beach, FL. Candidates must be able to work onsite daily as this role requires close collaboration with executive leadership and hands-on management of the Company's IT environment.
Travel: Occasional travel throughout Florida is required to support branch locations, acquisitions, technology implementations, and business operations.
Summary
The Manager of Information Technology serves as the Company's technology leader and is responsible for the overall strategy, security, infrastructure, enterprise applications, data platforms, and day-to-day operation of the IT environment across multiple HVAC, plumbing, and home service brands.
This is a highly hands-on individual contributor role to start. The successful candidate will personally manage and execute all aspects of the IT function while partnering closely with executive leadership to support rapid growth, acquisitions, and operational excellence. This is not a role that delegates work-it requires someone who enjoys solving technical problems, implementing solutions, supporting users, managing vendors, and driving technology initiatives firsthand.
As the organization continues to grow, this individual will have the opportunity to help build and lead an internal IT function.
What You'll Do
Technology Strategy
  • Develop and execute the Company's technology roadmap.
  • Align IT initiatives with business objectives.
  • Recommend technologies that improve efficiency, scalability, and security.
  • Plan technology needs for acquisitions and future growth.
  • Partner with executive leadership to evaluate emerging technologies, automation opportunities, and AI initiatives.

Infrastructure & Cloud
  • Manage Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, networking, servers, telecommunications, endpoints, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
  • Oversee hardware lifecycle management and software licensing.
  • Design and maintain a scalable cloud data platform capable of supporting reporting, Power BI, automation, and future AI initiatives.
  • Partner with the Data team to design, implement, and support AI-ready data structures and enterprise data architecture.

Cybersecurity
  • Own the Company's cybersecurity program.
  • Manage security policies, multi-factor authentication (MFA), endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Coordinate penetration testing, audits, cyber insurance, and compliance initiatives.
  • Promote cybersecurity awareness throughout the organization.

Enterprise Applications
  • Administer core business systems including ServiceTitan, Microsoft 365, ERP, CRM, HRIS, accounting platforms, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Lead software implementations, upgrades, integrations, and user adoption.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows through automation and technology.

Data Governance & Analytics
  • Support Master Data Management (MDM) standards and data governance initiatives.
  • Partner with the Data team to improve data quality, reporting, and business intelligence capabilities.
  • Develop and support Power BI reporting and dashboard solutions.
  • Help establish scalable data models and AI-ready data structures to support future automation and analytics initiatives.

IT Operations
  • Provide day-to-day IT support for all company locations.
  • Ensure reliable system performance and timely issue resolution.
  • Maintain IT documentation, asset inventory, policies, and standard operating procedures.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, managed service providers (MSPs), telecommunications providers, and software partners.
  • Support technology due diligence and integration activities during acquisitions.

Leadership
  • Serve as the Company's primary technology advisor.
  • Partner with executive leadership on technology investments and strategic initiatives.
  • Establish IT standards, policies, and best practices that support future growth.
  • Assist with building and developing the internal IT function as the organization expands.

What Makes This Role Different
  • Individual contributor role with executive visibility.
  • Highly hands-on technical position.
  • Opportunity to help build the Company's internal IT function.
  • Significant influence on technology strategy and business operations.
  • Direct impact on a rapidly growing private equity-backed organization.
  • Opportunity to shape the Company's future AI, reporting, and technology initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including experience leading IT operations and technology initiatives.
  • Experience supporting multi-site organizations.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, networking, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Experience leading technology projects and managing third-party vendors.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP, CRM, HRIS, Microsoft 365, and ServiceTitan or similar field service platforms.
  • Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, cloud data platforms, reporting, and enterprise analytics.
  • Experience partnering with business and data teams to support reporting, data governance, and AI initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while balancing strategic planning with hands-on technical execution.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the HVAC, plumbing, construction, manufacturing, or home services industry.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications.
  • Cisco, Security+, CISSP, or ITIL certifications.
  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions.
  • Experience implementing Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or enterprise analytics platforms.
  • Experience designing data structures and technology solutions that support automation and AI.
  • Experience transitioning organizations from MSP-supported environments to internally managed IT.

Success in This Role
Within the first 12-24 months, the successful candidate will establish a stable, secure, and scalable IT environment while laying the foundation for future growth. This includes improving cybersecurity, modernizing infrastructure, strengthening data governance, enhancing Power BI reporting capabilities, partnering with the Data team to implement AI-ready data structures, optimizing enterprise applications, reducing reliance on external providers where appropriate, and developing the processes, standards, and technology roadmap necessary to support continued expansion.
