Job description

Win Waste is looking for a Senior IT Business Manager. This position leads IT Business Engagement operations, overseeing work intake, prioritization, delivery tracking, issue resolution, and team execution to ensure practical, supportable solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business needs. Drives disciplined execution, operational accountability, and strong business-IT partnership to improve delivery performance and sustain reliable outcomes.

Manages day-to-day IT Business Engagement operations, including demand intake, resource coordination, project execution, issue escalation, and delivery governance. Translates business priorities into actionable plans, manages capacity and budget needs, and drives consistent execution across active projects and operational priorities. Partners with the IT Director of Business Engagement to align priorities, monitor progress, and improve delivery performance and operational reliability.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead the IT Business Engagement team in managing daily priorities, supporting enterprise systems, executing approved initiatives, and maintaining operational continuity.
  • Partner with the IT Director of Business Engagement to manage work intake, prioritize demand, assign resources, and direct execution across business requests, projects, and operational activities.
  • Oversee project planning and execution by defining schedules, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and status reporting routines to keep work on track.
  • Track project risks, issues, decisions, and dependencies; escalate when needed; and remove obstacles that could affect timeline, scope, quality, or support readiness.
  • Coach business analysts, project managers, and technical resources on delivery practices, requirements quality, status reporting, issue resolution, and execution discipline.
  • Maintain active relationships with business leaders to confirm priorities, clarify requirements, manage expectations, communicate status, and resolve competing needs.
  • Manage relationships with external service providers and technology vendors
  • Ensure project documentation, requirements, schedules, RAID logs, status reports, and governance artifacts are current, accurate, and aligned to delivery standards.
  • Support budget tracking, expense review, and financial coordination for active projects, vendor work, and Business Engagement operational needs.
  • Manage team capacity, skills alignment, and resource assignments to support project schedules, production needs, and business-critical work.
  • Partner with business and IT delivery teams to validate requirements, confirm solution readiness, coordinate testing, support implementation, and transition work into operational support.
  • Identify process improvements that strengthen work intake, delivery tracking, reporting, handoffs, support readiness, and execution.
  • Recruit, retain, and deploy talent with the skills needed to execute project work, support operational demand, and sustain delivery performance.

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 12+ years of IT experience, including project/program management, systems integration, or data management.
  • Knowledge of IT project methodologies, delivery governance, work intake, reporting, and system lifecycle practices.
  • Knowledge of vendor coordination, contract support, and third-party delivery management.
  • 7+ years managing technical resources, delivery teams, work intake, and cross-functional operational support.

Technical Skills:

  • Expert Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Teams, Word, and Visio.
  • Deep knowledge of Enterprise application architecture, cloud computing (Azure), cybersecurity, and enterprise systems like ERP and CRM
  • Advanced knowledge of application integration patterns, including data mapping from source to target
  • 5+ years of experience managing work intake, backlog visibility, resource planning, task tracking, and delivery reporting using Azure DevOps.
