Job description

Position Summary
Lead the comprehensive technical and operational training for the Cyber Warfare Officer Basic Officer Leader Course (BOLC). This high-impact role covers a diverse curriculum including Networking, Programming, Defensive/Offensive Operations, and Mission Command. The instructor is responsible for shaping the next generation of Cyber Officers through both classroom instruction and advanced curriculum development.
Requirements
Specific Module Requirements
A. Cisco Networking (CCNA)
  • Credentialing: Must be accredited by a Cisco Networking Academy Instructor Training Center (ITC).
  • Certification: Hold a current CCNA Routing and Switching (or higher) certification, earned or renewed within the last two years.
  • Experience: Minimum 6 months of experience instructing CCNA Exploration or Routing and Switching materials.

B. Programming, Scripting, & Technical Core (PnS / CCTC)
  • Technical Instruction: CTT+ (or equivalent) OR 2+ years of formal technical teaching experience.
  • Development Skills: 2+ years of proficiency in Python, PowerShell, and BASH OR a CCD Certification (Basic+).
  • Compliance: Must hold DoD 8140.01 IAT Level 2 or higher and be proficient in Git/GitHub/GitLab.
  • Education: Graduate of a 17-series MOS course (17C, 17A, 170A, 25D, 255S), CCTC, CNOQC, or hold an OSCP.

C. Cyberspace Response Assessment (CsRA)
  • Operational Experience: 2 years of tactical experience on a Combat Mission Team (CMT) in OCO or a Cyber Protection Team (CPT) in DCO.
  • Instructional Pedigree: Graduate of a 17-series MOS course (or sister service equivalent).
  • Technical Breadth: Demonstrated expertise in DoDIN best practices, hacking methodologies, digital forensics, protocol analysis, telecommunications, and ICS/SCADA.

D. Mission Commander Course (MCC)
  • Command Experience: Minimum 2 years of service in the Cyber Mission Force (CMT, NMT, or JFHQ-C staff) with experience as a Mission Commander, Operations Officer, or Team Lead.
  • Knowledge Domains: Mastery of Title 10/Title 50 authorities, JIPOE, Joint Targeting Cycle (JTC), Joint Planning Process (JPP), and the relationship between NSA and USCYBERCOM.
  • Instruction: 2+ years of experience delivering full-length training materials.
  • Qualification: Graduate of the Mission Commander Course (MCC) OR direct MC/SIGINT experience with an emphasis on CNO and digital network intelligence.

General Requirements
  • Instructional Design: Proficiency in writing and tailoring content for officer-level audiences.
  • Administrative: Maintain all instructor/writer qualifications identified for 17A BOLC-B Common Core and JLD modules.
