The Opportunity:
Join a mission-driven team as a Cyber Security Analyst supporting a traveling installation team. In this role, you'll work hands-on with advanced systems, ensure secure deployments across multiple sites, and collaborate closely with Tier 3 experts. If you enjoy solving problems in dynamic environments and want a career that blends technical depth with fieldwork, this role offers an exciting path forward. A Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Travel to customer locations to install, configure, and test server, network, and workstation hardware.
โ€ข Configure network components including IP address assignments, switches/routers, and connectivity back to the enterprise environment.
โ€ข Set up initial user accounts and access permissions within Active Directory, coordinating with Tier 3 for policy implementation and advanced configuration needs.
โ€ข Apply and verify cybersecurity hardening measures in compliance with DoD and organizational security requirements.
โ€ข Serve as the on-site technical representative, coordinating activities and providing clear status updates to Tier 3 administrators and project leadership.
โ€ข Document system configurations, network setups, and installation procedures to support accreditation and future maintenance.
โ€ข Provide on-site personnel with initial system familiarization and basic support after installation.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI
โ€ข Education: Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
โ€ข Experience: Minimum 3 years in system or network administration; DoD or research & development environment experience is highly valued.
โ€ข Compliance with DoD 8140 requirements within 6 months of hire (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA, or other approved certification/degree/training).
โ€ข Strong background in Windows and/or Linux server administration.
โ€ข Proficiency with network configuration and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching).
โ€ข Experience with Active Directory and user access management.
โ€ข Understanding of cybersecurity principles and system hardening practices (STIGs).
โ€ข Travel: Willing and able to travel up to 50%.
โ€ข Completion of mandatory cybersecurity training, including:
- Cyber Security Awareness Challenge
- Introduction to Information Security
- Derivative Classification
- Identifying & Safeguarding PII
- OPSEC Awareness

โ€ข Experience working with DoD networks or sensitive environments.
โ€ข Familiarity with system accreditation workflows and documentation.
