Job description

The Financial Analyst supports financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis across the organization.

  • This role applies financial and operational data to evaluate business performance, develop forward-looking insights, and support decision-making.
  • Building on a foundation in accounting, the position contributes to budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling activities, and partners with internal stakeholders to assess the financial impact of business initiatives and identify risks and opportunities.

Financial Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Performs financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to evaluate business performance and support decision-making.
  • The role interprets financial and operational data, identifies trends and risks, and develops insights and recommendations that contribute to financial planning and business operations.
  • Analyze financial and operational results to identify trends, variances, and key drivers of business performance
  • Development of forecasts, budgets, and reforecasts across business areas
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate business scenarios, initiatives, and performance outcomes
  • Translate financial results from Business Central and other systems into actionable insights for leadership
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to assess financial impact and support business decision-making
  • Provide variance analysis and explanations of actual results compared to the budget and forecast
  • Evaluate business initiatives through cost analysis, ROI considerations, and performance tracking
  • Support financial close by analyzing results and identifying key drivers of period performance
  • Contribute to financial reporting packages, dashboards, and presentations for management
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data accuracy, and financial visibility
  • Contribute to long-term planning and strategic financial analysis
  • Develop financial assumptions and apply judgment in analyzing trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of finance operations

Financial Analyst Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in accounting, financial analysis, or FP&A
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Working knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles
  • Ability to analyze data and communicate insights clearly
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or FP&A processes
  • Familiarity with Business Central or similar ERP systems
  • Experience supporting cross-functional business teams
  • Exposure to financial modeling and performance analysis
