Role Summary
Senior Lead Cyber Security Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise data protection solutions, including SecuPi Data Activity Monitoring (DAM), Microsoft Purview, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), CASB, and Zscaler security controls. This role leads enterprise initiatives focused on data visibility, monitoring, classification, protection, encryption, and secure integration across cloud, SaaS, and on-premises environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead implementation of SecuPi (DAM) controls and data-level encryption
  • Lead implementation and support of Microsoft Purview Information Protection, Data Classification, Sensitivity Labeling, and DLP capabilities
  • Lead implementation and administration of Zscaler DLP, CASB, ZIA, ZPA, and SSE controls to protect enterprise data
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom solutions using the SecuPi SDK to enhance the application integration with SecuPi
  • Develop automated onboarding solutions for databases, applications, and monitoring policies using SecuPi APIs and SDK frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SDK integrations, API connectivity, performance bottlenecks
  • Support deployment and operation of Java-based SDK components within Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerized environments.
  • Troubleshoot containerized applications, API services, and database monitoring components running in Kubernetes environments.
  • Support high availability, scaling, and disaster recovery requirements for SecuPi DAM platform services running on AKS.
  • Drive integration of SecuPi with enterprise applications, especially in Azure
  • Design and enforce data security policies and monitoring use cases
  • Partner with application and cloud teams for secure integration
  • Lead onboarding of applications into DAM platform
Major Duties
• Design secure integration architectures for DAM/SecuPi
• Define scalable and secure engineering solutions
• Support full lifecycle (design to deployment and support)

Required Skills & Expertise
  • Experience with SecuPi / DAM technologies
  • Experience developing custom integrations using SecuPi SDKs, APIs, or similar security platform frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML, authentication mechanisms, and API security.
  • Experience integrating security platforms with Microsoft Sentinel, ServiceNow, Splunk, or comparable SIEM/SOAR technologies.
  • Familiarity with Java or similar development languages for SDK integration and automation purposes.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience developing custom integrations using SecuPi SDK, APIs, or similar security platform frameworks.
  • Experience integrating security platforms with Microsoft Sentinel, ServiceNow, Splunk, or other SIEM/SOAR solutions.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices, authentication mechanisms, encryption, and API security.
  • Experience deploying and supporting Java applications in Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and develop scalable, maintainable, and secure SDK-based solutions.
Experience & Qualifications
• 9+ years in Cyber Security / Data Protection Engineering
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Certifications (CISSP, CISM, cloud) preferred
Leadership Scope (P3 Expectations)
• Lead enterprise DAM initiatives
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership
• Act as escalation point for critical issues

Summary
This role is key to advancing enterprise data-centric security by enabling real-time monitoring, encryption, and secure application integration using SecuPi/DAM platforms.
Salary Range:
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
