Looking for AI Architect - OT Cybersecurity
Plano, Texas (Hybrid)
The AI Architect - OT Cybersecurity is responsible for designing and enabling secure, scalable, and practical AI-driven solutions that enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and speed of cybersecurity operations within operational technology environments. This role supports the Enterprise Security & Cyber Risk team by translating complex business and technical requirements into actionable AI-enabled capabilities across industrial and manufacturing systems.
The position partners closely with cybersecurity, engineering, operations, data, and enterprise technology teams to integrate artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation into OT environments, ensuring solutions are aligned with business objectives while maintaining system integrity, safety, and continuity of operations.
Essential Functions:
  • Identify high-value OT cybersecurity use cases where AI can reduce manual effort, improve response speed, strengthen decision support, and increase operational efficiency
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand real business and operational challenges in OT environments and translate them into practical AI solution opportunities
  • Design AI-enabled solutions using technologies such as large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, semantic search, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, workflow orchestration, agentic workflows, and model APIs
  • Evaluate when to use generative AI, traditional machine learning, analytics, rules-based automation, or hybrid approaches based on problem, data, and risk profile
  • Define end-to-end solution architectures including data inputs, retrieval layers, integrations, orchestration, user interaction, monitoring, and governance
  • Create architecture diagrams, technical requirements, and implementation roadmaps to support pilot and production deployment
  • Design solutions that integrate with enterprise platforms, APIs, cloud services, knowledge repositories, operational data sources, and cybersecurity tooling
  • Apply AI to improve OT cybersecurity processes such as documentation review, knowledge retrieval, issue summarization, remediation support, workflow acceleration, reporting support, and operational decision support
  • Travel to factories and operational sites to observe workflows, validate use cases, and ensure proposed AI solutions are grounded in actual operational needs

  • Ability to design secure, scalable, and practical AI-driven architectures that effectively enhance OT cybersecurity operations while aligning with enterprise standards and risk considerations.
  • Strong capability to translate complex business needs and operational challenges into actionable, value-driven AI solutions within industrial and manufacturing environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of AI and machine learning techniques, including generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and workflow orchestration, with the judgment to select appropriate approaches based on use case and risk profile.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with cybersecurity, engineering, operations, and data teams to drive adoption of AI-enabled capabilities that improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Expertise in developing end-to-end solution architectures, including data integration, system interoperability, governance, monitoring, and user interaction design within enterprise ecosystems.
  • Strong situational awareness and practical problem-solving skills to assess real-world OT environments and ensure AI solutions support system integrity, safety, and business continuity.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience designing technology solutions that solve business or operational problems in enterprise or industrial environments
  • Experience with AI, machine learning, automation, or enterprise AI solution architecture
  • Working knowledge of AI concepts, including large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, semantic search, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, model APIs, and workflow orchestration
  • Experience translating business needs into technical requirements and scalable solution designs
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, data integration, and enterprise architecture patterns
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills

Proffered Qualifications:
  • Experience in Operational Technology, industrial environments, manufacturing systems, or cybersecurity-related functions
  • Experience applying AI to workflow automation, knowledge management, decision support, or operational analytics
  • Familiarity with agentic workflows, enterprise AI platforms, cloud AI services, and modern data platforms
  • Familiarity with model governance, responsible AI practices, and secure AI design
