Job Description
HII - Mission Technologies has an opportunity available for an Administrative Support Specialist who will support daily office operations, welcome visitors, maintain security protocols, and assist with basic data and workflow tasks. You'll be part of a team that supports real-world government missions while getting exposure to a fast-paced environment that includes policy work along with other key operations.
This is a full-time role that requires daily onsite attendance located in Arlington, VA. The opportunity requires applicants to have a secret level security clearance.
Compensation for this position will be based on a variety of factors, including the qualifications, education, experience, skills, internal equity, and market conditions. Final salary will be determined after consideration of all relevant factors in accordance with company policy.
Level 1 - $34,056 - $55,973
Level 2 - $45,502 - $65,000
Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Provide general administrative support to the team, including greeting visitors, answering simple questions, and helping maintain office organization.
  • Remind individuals entering the workspace to follow security rules, including turning off or putting away phones.
  • Collect and track information from different sources and keep records updated.
  • Review and organize data to support team reporting and daily operations.
  • Assist with improving basic work processes to help the team stay organized and efficient.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Level 1 - High School Diploma or equivalent and 0 years experience.
Level 2 - High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and basic data-entry skills.
  • Comfort working with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to follow security guidelines and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to stay organized and handle multiple small tasks at once.
  • Clearance - a SECRET clearance is required.

Preferred Requirements
  • Experience working in a government, defense, or GovCon environment.
  • Prior administrative or office-support experience.
  • Familiarity with basic business or policy processes.

Physical Requirements
Minimal mobility, dexterity, or coordination required to operate common business machines. Maximum lifting required is approximately 40 pounds from floor to three feet in height.
