We are looking for you to join our team as a Cyber Systems Administrator/Principal Cyber Systems Administrator based out of Elkridge, MD.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 1 technical support (including Domain Administration, System Administration, and Network Administration).
  • Monitor and maintain the smooth operation of computer systems, applications, and the user experience.
  • Provide effective communication across multi-functional teams, stakeholders, and end users.

Basic Qualifications Cyber Systems Administrator:
  • Master's Degree with 0 years of experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience; NOTE: Four (4) years of additional relevant experience can be substituted in place of a degree.
  • US Citizenship
  • Active Top Secret / SCI security clearance to be considered. TS/SCI clearance must be in place by the start date and remain in place throughout employment.
  • Must possess a current DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher before start date (example: Security+ CE)
  • Provides support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.
  • Manages IT system infrastructure and related processes.
  • Provides support for IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all supported devices, including mobile devices.
  • Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and issue resolution.
  • Provides support for the escalation and communication of issue status to program management and end users.
  • Must be able to configure and manage Linux and Windows operating systems upon start date, install/load operating system software, patches, and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Performs troubleshooting as needed.
  • Configures and manages virtualized environments, virtual networking, and storage solutions.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Cyber Systems Administrator:
  • PhD with 1 year of experience; Master's Degree with 3 years of experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience; NOTE: Four (4) years of additional relevant experience can be substituted in place of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with on-premise environments.
  • Administration of virtualization environments using technologies such as vCenter, ESXi, and storage provisioning, including the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of virtual servers and workstations.
  • Experience with multiple Linux distributions. Ability to assist end users by navigating via command line through different variations of Linux Operating Systems, including Ubuntu, Red Hat, PyPi, and CentOS.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and configuring Windows operating system and Windows Server environments to include Active Directory, DHCP, GPOs, DNS, LDAP, MS Exchange, MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager), MSSQL, and/or WSUS.
  • Knowledge of routing protocols, ports, and layer 2/3 switch configuration.
  • Ability to administer and maintain Atlassian Products (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo)
  • Ability to administer and maintain Virtual Desktop Environment technologies such as Horizon and Dell Wyse Management.
  • Experience and ability to use and maintain monitoring tools, including ELK, SolarWinds, and VMware Aria.
  • Functional knowledge of networking, such as Cisco and/or VMware NSX technologies.
  • Functional knowledge of storage solutions such as NetApp and Synology.
  • Functional knowledge of backup applications such as VEEAM and the ability to understand and implement backup and recovery solutions.
  • Desire and aptitude to learn new technologies, develop skills, and enhanced troubleshooting capabilities.

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
